2022年11月，柯林斯詞典（Collins Dictionary）公布了2022年度詞匯“Permacrisis”。

Permacrisis一詞perma+crisis柯林斯詞典官方給出的釋義為

an extended period of instability and insecurity, especially one resulting from a series of catastrophic events.

Brexit, Covid, war, climate disasters, a tanking economy, political instability, global insecurity, a sense of impending doom. There’s a single word for this, and it has just become Collins Dictionary’s word of the year: permacrisis.

01.tank

熟詞僻義，作名詞是坦克的意思，作動詞有“表現得很糟糕，快速減少，衰落，下跌”的含義，英文解釋為“If something such as a stock price or a movie tanks, it performs very badly, for example because it loses a lot of money.”

02.impending

表示“即將發生的，逼近的”，英文解釋為“An impending event is one that is going to happen very soon.”

03.doom

表示“死亡；毀滅；厄運；劫數”，英文解釋為“death or destruction; any terrible event that you cannot avoid”

The word is defined as “an extended period of instability and insecurity”, which some may argue is an accurate summary of the past few years. Collins said it chose the word as it “sums up quite succinctlyhow truly awful 2022 has been for so many people”

Permacrisis tops a list of 10 words, six of them new entries in the dictionary, which represent 2022, Collins said.

1表示“項目；條目；（一則）記錄”，英文解釋為“a separate piece of information that is recorded in a book, computer, etc.”

2表示“參賽作品；參賽答卷”，英文解釋為“An entry for a competition is a piece of work, a story or drawing, or the answers to a set of questions, which you complete in order to take part in the competition.”

The list reflected “the state of the world right now”, said Alex Beecroft, the managing director of Collins Learning.

01.throw (sth) up
